Vibrational Medicine
Good Vibrations
This somewhat complex branch of holistic health is shaking things up in the world of conventional medicine! Also known as Energy Medicine or quantum medicine, the vibrational field is described by Dr. James Oschman as “the diagnostics and therapeutic use of energy.” Energy Medicine covers a whole range of treatments, including acupuncture, homeopathy, craniosacral, sound healing, Bach flower remedies and more.
Theoretically, Energy Medicine is rooted in the development of physics. Namely, where Newton’s law holds that all objects exist independently from one another, quantum physicists like Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg argue that atoms do not exist individually, and that nothing is truly separate.
They contend that matter is mutable, while subatomic matter is in a constant state of exchange. Thus, all matter is energy. According to Richard Gerber, MD, a leader in Energy Medicine, the physical body’s molecular make-up is really just a complex network of interwoven energy fields, which lend themselves to fluid energetic interrelationships.
In holistic health, energy medicine uses pure energy to treat people, starting with certain frequencies to stimulate the repair of the entire mind and body. It does not see parts as independent participants, but rather as linked contributions to the flux and flow of a greater whole. Energy Medicine perceives the body on an energetic level, so treatments have a much stronger and longer-lasting effect.
