Q. What does Institute NHC mean by Holistic?

Holistic is an attitude that recognizes that everything is part of a greater whole and therefore not only are we affected by our environment and also have an impact on our surroundings, but our growth as individuals requires moving from seeing parts to seeing the greater whole that contains those parts.  Holism also implies that body, mind (thoughts) and emotions form the integrated and whole human organism, which itself is integral to the whole of humanity.

Q. Can I obtain a government student loan to pursue courses at NHC?

NHC is a private, non-profit registered charitable school and therefore our students are not eligible for government student loans.  We do however offer tuition reduction once a year for early registration.  Our flexible payment terms also make it possible for students to meet the financial demands.  We also offer some bursaries for advanced students.  Students may also be able to secure personal loans from a bank.  Given our flexible schedules, the majority of our students are able to maintain employment while attending Institute NHC.

Q. What kind of job can I find when I have completed my studies at NHC?

Most often our students work independently and have their own practice in areas such as Nutritional Consulting and Massage, among others.  Many job opportunities are available in multidisciplinary clinics, spas, pharmacies, companies importing and producing health products, health food stores and health centers.  Our Academic Advisor can provide you with more information.

Q. How long will it take to complete my studies?

Generally three to four years for the shorter certificates (800 Hrs) if done on a part-time basis.  The school offers courses during the day, evenings and weekends to help students complete their courses while maintaining employment.
