Aromatherapy I
Pre: None -
Cost: $180 - Hours: 15
Scientific Aromatherapy
is the use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes. It uses a
rigorous methodology that is based on scientific data that has been
confirmed both in the clinic and in the lab. It is a high quality,
natural therapy. Prodigiously efficient, it complements admirably
well all other alternative and allopathic approaches. As long as
“authentic” essential oils are used, and used correctly, the results
are often amazing and impossible to duplicate by any other means. In
this introductory course, the students will study 15 essential oils
and some of their therapeutic uses.

Aromatherapy II
Pre:
Aromatherapy I – Cost: $180 - Hours: 15
Essential oils’ actions
are not limited to their chemical components. They also carry
energy and informational patterns that can act on subtle levels and
influence the psychic body and its consciousness. In this
fascinating course, you will learn how to harness these
psycho-energetic influences and apply them to heal the dis-ease of
the soul such as anxiety and depression. In particular, you will
learn: the psycho-olfactive influences of essential oils, their
action on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system as well
as their link with the Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine
systems. Finally, you will discover seven sacred essential oils
used through the ages for spiritual purposes. Students will be
asked to actively participate in the course by completing
questionnaires to help them discover a little more of themselves and
by participating in physical exercises such as relaxation and
meditation. Comfortable clothing is strongly suggested. Students
will finally make 5 aromatherapy products to take home; there will
be an additional fee of $25.00 for the purchase of essential oils,
neutral oils, and bottles.

Co-req:
Chinese Energetic Medicine
– Cost: $1980 - Hours: 165
Body-Mind Acupressure
is an ancient Chinese healing modality that relies on the bodies
energetic pathways known as meridian points. The application of
pressure on these strategic meridian points of the body helps to

and harmony. It can also address the possible underlying causes of
illness. The student is provided with an overview of Meridian theory
and Chinese diagnostics. Through ample in-class practice sessions
the students will learn to apply the theory within a treatment
session. Students are expected to formulate a therapeutic
assessment of the client’s physical, emotional, and spiritual level
and follow through with an appropriate intervention. The students
will have opportunities to both give and receive sessions within
class time, under the supervision of the instructor. Teacher’s

case studies, students will learn to understand the meaning of these
important transitions in women’s lives and how they are experienced
in different cultures. Taking these aspects into account, students
will develop healing programs to address each woman’s specific needs
according to her life cycle. Textbook required.

Reflexology
Pre: None –
Cost: $468 - Hours: 39
Reflexology is an
ancient therapeutic modality that uses a specific technique on the
feet (also on the hands and ears) to restore the flow of energy
throughout the entire body promoting relaxation and healing
elsewhere in the body. It is based on the principle that each part
of the body is interconnected through the nervous system to the
hands and feet. Stimulating specific reflex points in the feet can
restore balance to poorly functioning areas of the body to help
restore homeostasis throughout the body. Reflexology is an
excellent therapeutic tool for relieving stress, digestive
disorders, and muscle tension among others. It complements other
therapeutic modalities. Students are required to pass a practical
exam after having completed 50 case studies to receive accreditation
for the course. Practical Exam: $60.00 payable to the teacher.
