Aromatherapy I
Pre: None - Cost: $180 - Hours: 15

Scientific Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes. It uses a rigorous methodology that is based on scientific data that has been confirmed both in the clinic and in the lab. It is a high quality, natural therapy. Prodigiously efficient, it complements admirably well all other alternative and allopathic approaches. As long as “authentic” essential oils are used, and used correctly, the results are often amazing and impossible to duplicate by any other means. In this introductory course, the students will study 15 essential oils and some of their therapeutic uses.

Teacher:  Maurice Nicole

Reflexology
Pre: None – Cost: $468 - Hours: 39

Reflexology is an ancient therapeutic modality that uses a specific technique on the feet (also on the hands and ears) to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body promoting relaxation and healing elsewhere in the body.  It is based on the principle that each part of the body is interconnected through the nervous system to the hands and feet. Stimulating specific reflex points in the feet can restore balance to poorly functioning areas of the body to help restore homeostasis throughout the body.  Reflexology is an excellent therapeutic tool for relieving stress, digestive disorders, and muscle tension among others.  It complements other therapeutic modalities.  Students are required to pass a practical exam after having completed 50 case studies to receive accreditation for the course.  Practical Exam: $60.00 payable to the teacher.
