NHC’s Discussion Series: Psychic and Clairvoyant Practices
Psychic and Clairvoyant practices have always been controversial. There are those out there that think it is a way of exploiting people’s insecurties about their future and their grief for lost loved ones. Undoubtedly there have been some who have been cynical, but is there more to it than that? Are people right to dismiss the whole field based on the actions of a few? There are certainly a large number of people that claim a huge amount of bennefit from it.
This is a massive topic and would be great to understand better as a whole community. So what are your views? Here’s some questions to get you thinking:
- Is it a healing practice, or does it simply bring fear/excitement to people’s perception of their future?
- What are the fundamental principles of Clairvoyant and Psychic practices that differentiate it from merely cheap fortune telling?
- Is it a useful way of tapping into your intuition? Can actual predictions about the future be made?
So use the form below to express your opinions on this controversial topic, whatever they may be.
The NHC Team,
Melanie, Ekow, Chiara, Adam, Simon

I think that there are far more fraudsters out there than there are real practitioners. I don’t think there is anything much to these practices, it is as random as reading tea-leaves or animal entrails.
Maybe it could be a good way to increase intuition, but i think there are more tried and tested methods to achieving that.

I believe that Edgar Cayce helped a lot of people. He used his clairvoyance gift sometimes as a medical intuition tool and made a big difference in a lot of people’s lives.
I believe you can read other people’s energy and get information that way – there are many different ways to do this.
Of course, when choosing any kind of practitioner you have to do your homework and choose someone with credentials and use your own judgement as well or get references.
Always trust your own instincts and gut feelings, that is your way of knowing what is real for you or not.
I believe that clairvoyance and intuition can be used in a healing practice as part of the healer’s tool box. I was skeptical about this so I took the Clairvoyance courses offered at NHC and I am no longer a skeptic. I can see the value of these tools both inside and outside a healing practice.
I don’t know if it is a good tool to predict the future as I believe the future can be altered based on choices you make as part of free will. It can show tendencies or possibilities for the future.

Glad to hear we had such a positive effect on your education. Trisha often inspires her students, how do you use it for yourself and your own life?

A true psychic will help the person seek their answers within themselves. There is no majic show only awareness and reflection.

I do believe there are those who are blessed to have clairvoyance as a gift such as Edgar Cayce (as Debbie had mentioned).
At first I wasn’t so sure that you could develop such a skill, that is until I took the training with Trisha. I was more curious than anything else to see what it was about, and I must admit I learned quite a bit about trusting my intuition and instincts.
It isn’t about predicting the winning lotto numbers or finding out who you’re going to marry. It’s about helping yourself and others around you to listen to what’s inside of them, guiding them on their paths. Of course, when you’re in a state of reading for somebody it is in the present moment.
I use my training within my practise to help those gain a clearer insight on their situation. It is a great tool to have no matter what your profession even if you use it just to connect with yourself.
Trisha is a wonderful and kind teacher!

Jennifer, Clairvoyancy is not a gift, it`s a development that people make. If a person is already clairvoyant, that means that she/he already developed that ability in a past life. Spirituality is about the infinity of goals there are to acheive and the different ways to reach them. Sprituality is also not only good, for people can gather energy for a negative effect, such has hitler did with esoterism and esoteric experiements or Milarepa before he became Enlightened.
