STUDYING AT NHC – APPLICATION PROCESS

Institute NHC has different designations for prospective students: Professional Training (diploma and certificate options), Continuing Education and Personal Growth.

Applications are accepted for the current and upcoming scholastic year on a continual basis, with interviews for Professional Training study ongoing. Prospective students are encouraged to request an appointment with an Academic Advisor to discuss their educational goals.  To make an appointment, please call the office at (514) 485-3859. The advisor is in on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Professional Training Application

Complete applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. We encourage all prospective students to apply early due to limited class sizes. Note that the fall semester is the primary starting time for diploma and certificate study, however we do offer various options for commencing training during the winter and spring semesters. Only complete applications will be considered. Prospective students must be at least 19 years of age when they apply.
To apply you must submit:

  • Completed Professional Training Application Package
  • A 700 – 900 word letter stating why you would like to study at NHC, including a paragraph describing what the word “holistic” means to you.
  • Your curriculum vitae outlining your work experience and academic study
  • Transcripts of CEGEP DEC, University degrees or at minimum transcripts that demonstrate completion of a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Continuing Education Application

Continuing Education courses at NHC are offered throughout the scholastic year. Whether as a compliment to current training or previous study, NHC Continuing Education students can learn new techniques, upgrade competencies, deepen their understanding of holistic practices and benefit from the flourishing NHC community of practitioners and students. Prospective Continuing Education students must be at least 19 years of age when they apply.

Personal Growth Application

Personal growth courses and workshops have no pre-requisites and are ideal for those who want to initiate themselves into holism or gain a sense of self-awareness. Many students commence their therapist journey here. Prospective Personal Growth students must be at least 18 years of age.
